She was born on Jan. 7, 1921 in Germany to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Thesen.
She married Robert Coury in 1947 in Germany. The couple lived in Germany until 1948 when they moved to Detroit, MI. Her son, Henry, had brought her back from MI in June 2010 to live with he and his wife.
Mrs. Coury was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill.
There will be no visitation and no services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, one sister, and one brother.
Survivors include her children, Henry (Doris) Coury, Mint Hill; William “Bill” Coury, New Baltimore, MI; Gerd (Doris) Coury and Lou (Chuck) Godin, all of League City, TX; her sister, Hannah Lora, Germany; her brother, Herbert Thesen, Schweich, Germany; many nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
