
Marie DiPalma White, 79, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Queens, New York, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. Born on October 22, 1946, Marie lived a life defined by kindness, friendship, and an unwavering love for those around her.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Marie found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and open arms. She was the person everyone could count on—steady, supportive, and endlessly giving. Her presence had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Marie was also a woman of deep faith. She cherished reading the Bible, drawing strength and peace from its pages throughout her life. Her faith guided her actions and shaped the gentle, compassionate way she moved through the world.
She will be remembered most for her constant devotion to her family and the positive influence she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Marie’s legacy lives on in the love she shared, the wisdom she offered, and the countless moments of comfort she provided simply by being there.
Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law , Jennifer Shinn and Michael Shinn, and grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Shinn. She was predeceased by her husband, James S. White and her parents, Anthony and Louise DiPalma.
Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
