Nola Boggs, a loving wife, mother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by kindness, devotion, and a gentle servant’s heart. She is survived by her husband, Don Boggs; her sons, Howard and Mark Boggs; her grandchildren, Josie and Luke Boggs; and her sisters, Faye Graver and Rosa Root.
She dedicated her life to her family, her church, and her community. She served as a schoolteacher early in her career and later became an executive assistant to several of the individuals who helped shape Charlotte into the vibrant city it is today. Her work, her faith, and her unwavering generosity touched countless lives.
Nola and Don shared a deep love for travel, often exploring new places with friends or spending peaceful days at the beach—her favorite place to unwind and appreciate the beauty around her. In Mint Hill, she will long be remembered for her famous “Friendship Bread,” a warm and delicious symbol of the love she poured into her community.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those fortunate enough to know her. Nola’s presence, her compassion, and her steady grace will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the many lives she enriched.
