Terri was born on November 7, 1954, in Mecklenburg County to Morris and Sadie Hood. She is survived by her caring mother Sadie, beloved husband Dave, devoted son Brian (his wife, Paula), loving sister Kim and her children, Terri’s niece and nephew, Jordan and Hayden.
After graduating from Independence High School, Terri went to work for Wachovia Bank and Trust. Terri gave birth to the apple of her eye, son Brian, in 1978. Introduced by friends, Terri and Dave met in 1989 and wed soon after in April 1990. The true definition of soul mates, Terri and Dave enjoyed living their lives together. From cheering on their favorite sports teams to quiet getaways to their mountain house in VA, everything they did had special meaning because they did it together.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, with visitation at 1:30 pm and service at 3 pm. The family invites friends to Terri and Dave’s home after the service to continue the celebration of this beautiful life gone way too soon.
