He was a member of the South Seminole Baptist Church of East Ridge. Darren was a 1986 graduate of Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, TN, and proudly served his country as a United States Marine from 1986-1990.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Forest Gray Sr.; sister, Zuleika Shelton; his grandfathers, James Edward Stoutt and George Forest Gray and his grandmothers, Audrey Davidson Vogt and Kate Alice Gray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Fredericks Gray of Chattanooga: daughter, Danielle (Michael) Fredericks of Burleson TX; sons, Joshua (Gerrika) Fredericks of Chattanooga and Darren Wayne Gray Jr. of Soddy Daisy; Mother, Janet Gray of Cleveland; three brothers, Stacey (Angie) Gray of Cleveland, David Gray Jr. of El Paso TX and George (Christie) Gray of Cleveland; one sister, Tia Gray of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Whyatt, Parker, Clayton and Artemis Fredericks all of Chattanooga and countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Drew Tankersley and Pastor Wayne Loveless officiating. Interment will be held immediately after at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
