I worked with Don at the Post Office for 7 years and I loved his sweet mother, Eva, for a long time as she was a member of Apison Baptist Church. Don was the most awesome man. He would help you in any way he could and he loved telling people about Jesus! Don had a great sense of humor. When he was telling about some of his humorous life experiences while we were sorting mail at the post office, all of us there just burst out laughing! People told us we were having to much fun! Don was the best friend and I will miss him. Rest in God’s Peace, my friend.

You and your family are in our prayers and thoughts. May God ease your pain at this time and bring joy in the knowledge that he is with our Lord in Heaven.

I was 10- 12 yrs.old I remember riding a church bus that Don drove & Wanda & the boys rode. They were a lways the kindest people. He was over the music at church- I believe. Its been for ever. I think the church was Memorial Park" in McDonald Tn. Their boys were little like babies. I really liked them. He was one of the nicest people you would ever meet. My prayers for Wanda & the family. God bless all.

I will never forget my friend, teacher and mentor. I am a better man today because of Don Cross. I will truly miss him, but will see him again. I love hearing Don teach and tell
stories on Sundays. I still can't believe you are gone, but when I stand to teach Sunday, I will think of my friend.

I’ll never forget singing my favorite “rainbow” song. Such a good papaw, that loved all of Papaw’s babies. I’m thankful to have known a man of God like him..to always have open arms no matter what...I hope to continue to let his love live on through the family, and more great grandkids to come. ❤️

I always remember getting so grumpy when he would flip the lights on before the sun had even risen, singing “Good morning sunshine! It’s a pretty day.” Now, I can’t help but smile thinking of all those mornings. Thank you for adding music to my life papaw. I hope to bring the same to others now. ❤️
