She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Helen Meadows and her husband of 65 years, JB Delaney. Evelyn retired from Foam Fabricating and Stanley Works after over 25 years of service. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Evelyn was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, boating and in her later years, crocheting.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Jim (Eileen) Delaney; grandchildren Kelly Delaney, Jason (Katie) Delaney and Megan (Brandon) Waters as well as 5 great-grandchildren and another expected in June.
A private service will be held. The family would like to offer special thanks to Mr. Larry Griffin and the staff at the Lantern in Collegedale and Hearth Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
