She was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Smith and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Mitchell, and brother, Marklin Smith.
Gerry was a member of Bethel Baptist in Lakeland, Florida.
Survivors include her three children, Cheri Burchfield, of Etowah, TN, Billy (Frances) Mitchell Davis, Jr., of Lakeland, FL, Albert (Karen) Davis, of Chattanooga, TN, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 W. Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL, 33803, with Rev. Harry Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Socrum Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Chapel in Lakeland, FL.
