Dr.Adetola Kassim and Violeta Vartic express sympathy to Ms. Hamby and family for the loss of Mr.Hamby. We have treated him for four years, had the chance to know him better,he was gentle,would understand many situations, despite the physical effort he had to make at each visit to the Clinic.We could see he had a lot of support from Ms.Hamby who was so devoted to him. He will always be remembered as a very special man,God rest him in peace!

Helen and family, I have so many good memories of high school days with Howard and Mary. I was so sorry my circumstances here would not permit me to attend the services. He was always such a kind person and will be missed by so many..

I would like to ditto what Tim, Roy, and Johnathan said in their entries.  I was in Mr. Hamby's troop for 4 years in the late 80s and remember him as an outstanding leader and good example.  I will always appreciate the time he gave us and all the camping trips he took us on.  I and many others were definately very fortunate to have someone like him that was willing to dedicate so much of his time and energy to in scouts.  My prayers are going out to all the family for comfort during this time.

I was a boy scout in Troop 254 back in the late 1970s and I have never forgotten the kindness and leadership Mr.Hamby showed to us.  He was a good and decent man and I feel fortunate to have known him.  My condolences to his family on this sad day.

Howard has always been a blessing to all, I was able to enjoy many summers and vacations with all of you.  He was very supportive , loving and always there for his family.  This will be a great loss to our family.  I am so sorry I could not be there to support all of you but you are with me in spirit and thought.

I cannot express in words how much Mr. Hamby influenced me while in Scouting.  He was a great man and a leader of men.  Scouting has truly lost a great leader and a friend to many.  My prayers are with you and your family during this time for comfort and healing.  Mr. Hamby is now on the best camping trip with Jesus by his side sitting by the campfire.

I worked with Howard for several years at Sargent & Lundy. No matter the stress or the pressure, Howard was always a true Gentleman.  My prayers are with his wife and family for their lost. When I worked with Howard my last name was Mincey.

I can't begin to tell you how much Mr. Hamby did for me. I was lucky enough to have Michael as my best friend, and the Hambys as an extra set of parents. Mr. Hamby was certainly a positive influence on me, especially in Scouts, and his leadership was one reason I stayed active as long as I did, and why I knew Scouting would be an excellent activity for my children as well.

I am very sorry for your loss, and pray for your family's comfort and healing.
