

Irene Dean Lynn, 90, of Chattanooga, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Lascassas, TN. Born on February 2, 1921, she was a native of Calhoun, TN, she has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a former employee of Hamilton County Nursing Home. She was a 50 year member of the Silverdale Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a lifelong gardener and crocheted lap robes for hospice. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Dean. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Joy and Edward Colston, Lascassas, TN and Mary and Nolan Robinson, Cartersville, GA; two grandsons, Mark Robinson and his wife Leigh and Will Colston; two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsey Robinson; three sisters, Clara Brown, Ringgold, GA, Georgia Bell Ingram and Pat Elliot, both of Etowah, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Meadow Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Comfort Ye Ministries of the Heartland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 11536, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Pallbearers will be, Mark Robinson, Will Colston, James Dean, Ed Colston, Ricky Colston and Dwight Newby. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
