

JB helped introduce Mayfield Dairy to the Chattanooga area by establishing the first sales routes here in the early 50’s. He retired in 1994 after 40 years with Mayfield Dairy Farms.
He was a 50 year member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge #114 and was also a member of the Chattanooga Half Century Club. JB was an accomplished musician with both the guitar and fiddle. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring antique furniture. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars and trucks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn; son Jim (Eileen) Delaney; three grandchildren, Kelly Spala, Jason Delaney and Megan Waters; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Samantha Spala and Breckin Waters; brother Ralph (Gisella) Delaney and sister, Delphia Branton.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Lantern in Ooltewah and Hospice of Chattanooga for his loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday in the Valley View Chapel. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
