Jeanne Padgett

She was the daughter of the late Pete and Lodema Rozzelle and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy Padgett, and her sister, Janice Ainsworth.

Jeanne’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose love and care touched everyone around her. She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved most, always putting family first. Whether through quiet encouragement, thoughtful acts of kindness, or time spent together, Jeanne created a home filled with warmth, love, and lasting memories.

In addition to her devotion to family, Jeanne enjoyed gardening and reading. She worked as an underwriter for Merastar Insurance and also worked in customer service and insurance sales throughout her career. She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her three children, Aimee (Richey) Taylor of Harrison, Tennessee; Skip (Chris) Padgett of Ringgold, Georgia; and Amanda (Jeff) Atkins of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four cherished grandchildren, Robyn (Micah) Perry, Rachel (Geoffrey) Mathes, Emily Padgett, and Pete Padgett; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga.
