She was the daughter of the late Ben and Grace Holland and was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Josephine retired from BI-LO after 40 years of service. She had a great love for her family and was a very kind and compassionate person.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Jeannie Ray, of McDonald, TN., three grandchildren, Holly Benton, Jonathan Ray, Julianne Ray, two great-grandchildren, Piper Benton, Hannah Ray, two sisters, Ruby Garner, of Chattanooga, Betty Carol, of Huntsville, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Lovelady officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
