She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 23, 1943 to the late Roy and Elsie Schroeder.
Ms. Schroeder dedicated 45 years as a called Lutheran school teacher. Most of those years were spent teaching fifth grade as well as PE classes for Middle School and coaching volleyball. She retired in 2010. She was also a very dedicated member of First Lutheran Church where she was a life-long choir member as well as serving on the hospitality committee. Her favorite way to serve was on the Camp Board for First Lutheran Church Camp in Soddy-Daisy, TN where she spent many hours working and enjoying camp activities. Linda loved hiking, traveling, and added pickleball after retiring from school activities.
Those who were fortunate enough to call her teacher will always remember her spunkiness and her wry sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brother, Doug (Mary) Schroeder, nephew, Brian Schroeder, niece, Katie (Corby) Carbone, great-nephew, Anthony Carbone and many other beloved family, friends and former students.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A celebration of Ms. Schroeder’s life will follow in the chapel at 3:30 pm with Pastor Gilbert Pingel and Pastor Donald Welmer officiating.
