Margie JoAnn Rector, a long-time resident of Chattanooga, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 16, 2016 at the age of 78.
JoAnn was the daughter of the late Paul Hodge and Juanita Giles, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered as a kindhearted, gentle woman who always spoke positively of others. Her tender disposition and faithful, heartfelt service to her Savior were examples to many. All who knew her will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Gary Rector, and is survived by her son Steven and Patsy Rector of Soddy-Daisy, her daughter Linda Watts of Red Bank, and her youngest son Harold Rector, Jr. of Oakdale, LA. JoAnn was also a loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3067 Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd., Ooltewah, TN 37363. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
