Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Georgia Whitmore, husband Owen Lee Burns as well as her son, William “Bill” Brown.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Robbie Dodd, her son in law, Kenneth Dodd II, and her 2 grandsons, Kenneth Dodd III and Jordan Dodd and a host of nephews and nieces.
Ruby was a cosmetologist for over 50 years. She was still an active employee of the Grand Salon in East Brainerd which she loved. She was well known for her sense of style and her clients and co-workers considered her a gem, just like her name
She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church.
A casual graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Silverdale Cemetery located off Bonny Oaks drive across from Silverdale Baptist Church on Cemetery Road. The service will be officiated by Pastor Tim LaFleur.
