It was an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to  help coach and watch Zach playing summer softball.  Zach was  full of energy for the game and always electrified the rest of the team to dig deep  with his amazing speed and remarkable ability to hit home runs seemingly at will.  His team spirit was much appreciated in the dugout as well, where he encouraged the best out of his teammates.  

Our deepest sympathies go out to you and the rest of the family.

We have no words, but just want you know that our hearts are heavy for you.  May God comfort you in this unimaginable loss. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

It was a great privilege to coach Zach during his middle school years. He had all the qualities that teachers and coaches look for in a student. He was dedicated, hard working, and easy to get along with, just to name a few. He was a great gymnast, and was part of a boys quad acro routine that was better than most high school level routines. But the real story I'll never forget was his first year trying out for soccer. We weren't sure about putting him on the team when he was still so young and rather small, so we put him on the "practice squad." He proved us wrong in about two practices. Coach Davanzo said, "Give that boy a uniform!" He became a valued member of our soccer team as well. 

But more important than his contribution to sports teams, I'll remember Zach for having a big heart and a ready smile. I will treasure the memories I have of him, and look forward to seeing him in the earth "made new."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Negron family during this difficult time. 

Zach was one of my 8th graders at Collegedale Academy Middle School.  I knew him as a good student, a faithful friend to his peers, and an example of Christian character.   He always had a ready smile and a helpful attitude.

I am brokenhearted that he is gone.   My prayers are for his family and close friends as they deal with this tragic loss.

Words cannot express... Dennis, Jennifer, Marisa, our hearts go out to you in this time of unspeakable loss. A few days ago I (Heidi) ran into you, Dennis, outside Walmart. Remember? You were sharing with me what an impact GCA had had on your son and his spirituality. You sounded so proud of him!! Thank you for sharing that with me. There are no answers to our "whys", but we plead with God that He will hold you in his loving arms and reassure you of His promises. Zach is now saved for eternity! There are no words to adequately express the heartache we have in you losing Zach.  We remember visiting Jennifer in the hospital as she awaited his birth, and seeing him periodically as he grew up, at the various times we were able to catch up.  Impressive young man, a product of impressive parents. 

May you sense God near, when it’s so easy to feel so distant.  To all of you, as well as family and friends, we pray for healing and love in ways that seem impossible right now.
