Fernando R. Carranza Sr.

Fernando Rogelio Carranza, Sr., of Acuna, Coahuila Mexico. Entered eternal rest on December 29, 2014 at the blessed age of 86. He was a retired pharmacist, business owner and served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Fernando was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, Tio and amigo to many. He is reunited in heaven with his wife Carmen of 40 years. He is loved and will be greatly missed by his children Fernando R. Carranza II, Aurora Ramos (husband Silas), Francisco Carranza (wife Guille), Federico Carranza (wife Leslie), Rebeca Woods ( husband Jerry). Ito is cherished by his grandkids: Fernando III, Ben, Deenise, Mia, Francesca, Angie, Christian, Rico. Fernando was kind, always had a smile and was inspirational to his family, family members and friends. He will live forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home (6620 W. Archer Ave. Corner of Natoma). Funeral Services will commence at 9:15 AM at Ridge Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St Joseph's Church in Summit, Illinois, with burial to follow immediately thereafter at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
