Yesterday we ate Kentucky fried chicken, we cried and laughed and shared some stories about Dads final days.  He made us laugh even as he entered the pearly gates    Who saves a 10% discount coupon for their funeral?   I remember our big pink bike rides together, the big whirlpool we would wanted to make in our goofy above the ground pool with him,   And who could forget him driving us to school in the car with no backseats let alone seatbelts  Oh yeah and a coat hanger for a car antenna    I cannot think of two more fabulous woman to have shared my life and father with Love you sisters to the moon and back ❤

Uncle Fred....many great memories.  My earliest memory was the evening wrestling match in Grandma's living room on Emerald Avenue during which we knocked over Grandma's coffee table and she came after us with a kochloffel (wooden spoon).  Fred laughed so hard he cried.  Uncle Fred was also my first employer, taking me with on his Saturday soda/beer route through the Bridgeport neighborhood. He kept in touch throughout the years.  He was a terrific uncle.  
Unfortunately, I am not able to join the family at his service in Chicago.  My best to Aunt Betty, Susie, Kim & Paula.

My earliest memory of my Uncle Fred was when my Mom (Mary Petrokovitch Belskis) told me that all the loud whistles, guns and bells meant that the war was over and Uncle Fred would be coming home.  That made him someone very special, and he continued to be so for his family the rest of his years.  I will always remember him as jovial and talkative, a great storyteller.  As the family dispersed in so many directions over the years, Fred continued to stay in contact with most of us.  I will miss his handwritten Christmas card this year. Fred was a  best friend of my late husband, John Viskant.  I was glad to have him as a friend too.  I will always remember their good times together as they grew up and in later years.

Fred you were a great friend to my dad and our family. I will always remember you as "soda pop" Freddy. I enjoyed the time we spent together and helping you when I could; especially at  tax time....My thoughts and prayers are with you.
