Joe dedicated his entire career, nearly 30 years, teaching a generation of children at Nathan Davis Elementary School in the Southwest side of Chicago. When he was given the opportunity to further his career and economic gain by teaching in the Chicago suburbs, Joe chose to stay and give back to the students of the Chicago community. With his passion for teaching, he inspired numerous students over the years to enter the field of education. Music was a crucial part of his life as he was a talented musician and composer. He loved the great outdoors and spent his summers hiking and camping throughout North America as far as Alaska as well as Europe.
