Nancy S. Matyas

Nancy was born on March 29, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Rita (nee Zytniowski) Mateja. Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, joy and infectious smile, which brightened everyone’s lives that were lucky enough to know or have met her. Her family was everything to her and she was everything to them. She loved spending time with her family and longtime friends, occasionally having some fun at the casino, and attending her grandsons’ games/meets (football, baseball, basketball and cross country). She also adored her “good boy”, Muggs (chocolate labrador retriever).

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Michael Matyas; her children, Kevin (Michelle) Krofta (CPD) and Kimberly Krofta; her grandsons, Mason Krofta and Aiden Krofta; her brothers, Gerald Mateja and Ronald Mateja; her sister-in-law, Wendy Matyas; her brothers-in-law, William Berry, Raymond Matyas and Michael Rossi; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents and her sister, Annette Berry (nee Mateja).
