Rafael H Dominguez

Rafael H. Dominguez, husband, father, grandfather, friend to many, passed away peacefully March 19, 2024. Rafael was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in 1940 to Rafael and Ana Maria (Hernandez). Rafael was a hardworking and proud candy maker at Brach’s Candy in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed watching the Chicago baseball teams and was an avid lotto aficionado. He loved coffee and sweet treats but most of all, Rafael loved his family and cherished his time as a grandfather.

Rafael is survived by his wife of 61 years, Amparo (Ortega) Dominguez. Beloved father of Amparo “Amy” (Don), Rafael H. Jr (Lincy), Gilberto (Laura) and Ana (Carlos) and adoring grandfather to Evan, Lexi, Maya and Jacob. Loving Brother, Fond Uncle and friend to many.

Visitation for Rafael will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Rafael H. Domínguez, esposo, padre, abuelo, amigo de muchos, falleció pacíficamente el 19 de marzo de 2024. Rafael nació en Aguascalientes, México, en 1940, hijo de Rafael y Ana María (Hernández). Rafael era un trabajador y orgulloso fabricante de dulces en Brach's Candy en Chicago, IL. Le gustaba ver los equipos de béisbol de Chicago y era un ávido aficionado a la lotería. Amaba su café y sus dulces pero, sobre todo, Rafael amaba a su familia y apreciaba su tiempo como abuelo.

A Rafael le sobrevive su esposa durante 61 años, Amparo (Ortega) Domínguez. Amado padre de Amparo “Amy” (Don), Rafael H. Jr (Lincy), Gilberto (Laura) y Ana (Carlos) y adorado abuelo de Evan, Lexi, Maya y Jacob. Hermano cariñoso, tío cariñoso y amigo de muchos.
