

Edward Joseph Galt was born on February 16, 1970, in Princeton, British Columbia, to parents Linda (nee Stewart) and Thomas Galt. Edward passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 56. He will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him.
Throughout his working life, Ed was a true jack of all trades—steady and capable in the many paths he took. He applied himself with care and skill as a meat cutter, a water treatment specialist, and an autobody technician, excelling in each role through diligence and a quiet determination. In all he did, Ed carried a kind-hearted nature that left a lasting impression on coworkers, friends, and family alike.
Ed found genuine happiness in fishing and the outdoors, and he especially cherished time spent with those he loved. His presence was a source of warmth and comfort, and his devotion to family stood at the center of his life. Beloved by many, Ed will be remembered for the ways he showed care—through his time, his attention, and his unwavering love for his family.
Ed was predeceased by his grandma and grandpa Galt, grandma and grandpa Stewart; parents, Thomas and Linda (nee Stewart) Galt; brother, Richard Galt; niece, Justeen Galt; nephews, Tyson Seymour, and Kyle Galt.
Ed leaves behind his aunt Dorothy; uncles Henry, Joey; siblings Wendy (Wayne), Linda May (Ray), Darrick, James (Robyn), Rosetta (Scott), and John; daughter Taylor; grandchildren Leila, Ava, Vera, and Nova; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at the Leq'á:mel Community hall.
