Jennifer Elise Trescher

Jen was born in Comox, BC, but spent the majority of her life living in Chilliwack, where she worked as a mail courier for Canada Post. She leaves behind her partner, Terra Webber; stepchildren: Sylvan Teschke, Sequoia Teschke, and Xiola Wimbush; step-grandchild, Mavis Wimbush; siblings, Meagan and Shaun Trescher; and parents Juan Trescher and Leeann Trescher-Cousineau.

Whenever she could, Jen was outside. She enjoyed softball, golf, camping, dirt biking/atving, arm wrestling, basking in the sun, and above all being out on her boat. In fact, even during her battle with cancer, between chemo sessions you would find her out doing one of the above. She was truly relentless and never let anything break her spirit. Her love for life, strength, and spunk remained a constant until her final day.

To know Jen, was to love Jen. Her contagious enthusiasm, humour, vigour, the way she listened, and genuine care for those around her made anyone who was lucky enough to know her feel like family. Jen was fiercely protective of those she loved. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, teammates, and anyone whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Jen’s life will be held at the Chilliwack Curling Club on Saturday, September 26th from 5-9pm. Anyone who would like to celebrate Jen’s life is welcome. There will be an open mic for anyone with words, stories, or memories to share.

As Jen would’ve said, “have a shot for me!”

Jen will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
