Raymond is survived by his daughter Marlene Turner of Princeton, his son Randall (Randy) Roylance and partner Debra Milenk of Kamloops, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom Ray dearly loved.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Dick and Charlotte (Lottie Tanner) Roylance of BC, his first wife Zuzanna (Sue) Roylance (Rubis) of Czechoslovakia, his brother James and sister Nita of Greenwood, his son-in-law Gordon Turner, his son William (Rick) Roylance and his second wife Lillian Roylance (Carrigan) of Toronto.
Lillian and Ray met online about 14 years ago and fell in love. They married on September, 20, 2014, and enjoyed many good years together.
Throughout his working years, Ray was a master of many trades: mining, Trucking, locksmith, welder and many others. He was a very talented and intelligent man who also mentored many.
As a young man, Ray was also a real cowboy, throughout the mountains of this region for many years as a ranch hand, riding horses over the ranges of the BC Mountains. He maintained his love of the mountains and the great outdoors throughout his life.
Ray will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched throughout his 99 years with us.
The family would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Village by the Station in Penticton. You showed genuine love, care and compassion not only to Ray but to the family as well. Without all of you, this journey would have been so different.
Also, a deep, heartfelt thank you would like to be sent to Ray’s stepdaughter, Heather Carrigan, who cared for him in his later years and made sure he was well taken care of and loved.
