

Antonia T. Galceran, aged 70, of San Diego, passed away July 29th, 2012. She was born in El Paso, Texas on May 10, 1942. She was married to Arturo Galceran on July 21, 1967, and recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. Antonia worked Bank of America for 5 years, and retired from the El Monte Elementary School District as a para-professional after 12 years of service. She enjoyed her beach house in Ensenada, Mexico, playing with her grandchildren, shopping, music, visiting family and friends in Texas and Arizona, traveling with her husband to the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, and taking the various cruises. She was admired for her dedication, stylish sense for fashion, her ability to plan and execute the most memorable events, including themed parties, camping trips in Mexico, motorcycle riding, and boating with family and friends.
Her passion was toward her family, whom she served her entire life. She is survived by: husband Arturo of Chula Vista, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Manuel Martinez of El Paso, TX; brother, Jesse Tapia of Marysville, CA; daughter and son-in-law Stephen and Elizabeth Silva of La Puente, CA; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Melissa Galceran of La Quinta, CA; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Summer Galceran of Chula Vista, CA; and daughter Anabel Garcia of Chula Vista, CA. Her fifteen grandchildren include; Stephanie Silva (26) Jacqueline Vega (26), Robert Galceran II (26), Christopher Vega (25), Adam Galceran (22), Genevieve Silva (20), Dennisa Galceran (18), Alexandra Sanchez (17), Arturo Galceran III (16), Sinjin Silva (16), Samantha Silva (14), Autumn Marvin (14), Mikayla Galceran (9), Antonia Galceran (6), and Aurora Galceran (4). Great-grandchildren include; Isabel Villegas (9), Briseis Naranjo (7), Eli Naranjo (5), Aaliyah Black (4), Kalysta Naranjo (4).
Sitting outside in the sunshine talking with friends and family was her favorite pastime. There was not a person whom she met that did not admire her selfless attitude, generosity, and family values. She was very active in donating her time and efforts to helping the needy in Mexico, and enjoyed giving herself to others above all. Wife, mother, sister, auntie, grandma, godmother, and friend, Antonia will be dearly missed and her passing will be mourned by many.
