No se como poder aceptar la perdida de un hermano , único , como el , en verdad un ejemplo para mi y muchos mas , siempre se preocupo por mi desde chico , recuerdo sus palabras  ! Que onda Carnal , como va la casa! ocupas algo, espero que dios lo tenga en su Santa Gloria y que Dios me de las Fuerza y Fortaleza para seguir adelante , tantos bonitos recuerdos que tengo por tantos años jugamos Fútbol y íbamos a pescar a Rosarito  y el Puente de I.B. Perdimos un gran ser humano en Paz Descanses Carnal.

It’s been over 2 decades since I first met Armando: my closest neighbor. What strikes me odd is why we did not become “best buddies”. He was friendly and very easy to talk to. I am ‘kinda sorta’ on both accounts - guess that's why we didn't become best buddies. But, we had our good times - building my retainer wall - that was both a project at work and a learning experience for me. Armando, was in my eyes; a jack - of - all trades. He had a wealth of knowledge, energy and experience. Lest we not forget his energy.  Without his help the wall probably would have been rebuilt several times ,,,,,,,, by now -   Why? For my ‘efforts’ that's how many times it would have fallen down. But LOOK! it's still standing after over 20 years. 

 I will miss him. I already do...

Primo, we've made a lot of beautiful memories throughout our childhood and adult days.   My sister and I would bring our records to your house, we listened to music together and danced.  You would take us to nightclubs in Tijuana, we always had a great time. Three nights ago, I had a dream about you, you were so happy, we talked for a while.  You called me prima, as you always did when we would see each other.  Your kind spirit will live in my heart forever.  God places us in the physical world for purpose and when our purpose has been fulfilled he takes us back home.  May you Rest in Peace, primo.

Hermano,                                                                      Parece  un sueño que ya no estás en cuerpo presente a nuestro lado pero tu presencia está en nuestros corazones. Como  olvidar tus ocurrencias y tu sentido del humor y sobretodo tu valor y fortaleza que tuviste hasta tu último suspiro . Por eso serás un ejemplo para celebrar tu nombre , me da mucho consuelo saver qué estás reunido con mi papá al lado de nuestro señor Jesús, te mando un abrazo desde aquí, hasta pronto descansa en paz.

I am humbly writing this in honor and dedication of my father Armando J Roque. As I write this, I feel some sort of therapeutic relief being able to reflect all my thoughts and emotions into words. My dad was a man who has always been known for his extreme hard work, waking up at 4am each and every morning to head to work as a welder while the rest of his family still slept. As a child, I always remember him calling the house on his way home from work asking us if we wanted any chips from the store. When he got home tired from work, he always put on his favorite music, Rocio Durcal, Earth Wing & Fire and Carlos Santana. 
He always called me by my nickname Omarin del boulevard Cacheton, as he asked me how school went that day. It's difficult to reflect back on all those distant times, but the moments I do remember were beautiful in their own way. Later in life when I came out to my family, he was the one person I was hoping would embrace me the most. I don't even know why I doubted that, but I was young and scared. The next day when I got home and he was in the garage, he called me by my nickname, and gave me the longest hug I've ever received from him. He then told me in my ears "Siempre the voy a querer. Eres mi hijo, and don't you ever forget it". (I am always going to love you, you are my son, and don't you ever forget it.) I then started crying because I was foolish to think he would reject me. 
Its hard to sum up my dad with a description, so hopefully my personal moments with him can reflect how amazing and loving he was. I thank you all for taking the time to read my personal story with my father.

In loving memory of my father, Armando Roque. He was a whole-hearted man that was admired by so many people. My dad led by example and worked really hard to raise our family. He was a loving husband and always cared for my mom. I’m happy that he spent the last years of his life traveling the world after his retirement alongside my mother.  Thank you for guiding me as I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without you. Words can’t express how much I miss your presence, may you rest in heavenly peace. You are a warrior, a hero and my angel.
