Daisy E. Reyes

Daisy Manzanilla Escano Reyes, age 75, passed away on January 24, 2021 in San Diego, CA. She was born on August 25, 1945, in Carit-an, Patnongon, Antique, Philippines, the third of four siblings who were joined later by their first cousin Harold when he was in Grade 3.

Her main course of study was Nursing. She attended University of the Philippines and Temple University. She was a Director of Nursing for Euclid Convalescent Hospital and Meadowlark Convalescent Hospital. She later made a career change and worked for the State of California Medical Field Office as a Nurse Evaluator for most of her career.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Alexandre, her Daughter Claudine Anne, and son Alexandre Robert, and her two grandchildren Makoa Elijah and Elaria Anelalani - all who loved her dearly.

Daisy touched so many lives. She will be remembered dearly for her natural smile, infectious laugh, kind heart, generous spirit and nurturing soul. She was a virtuous woman of God and gave unconditional love for the people that knew her. Everyone around her simply felt loved and important. She had a passion for the Bible, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, dancing, coordinating social gatherings, baking zucchini bread, and cooking. She will be fondly missed as the family historian, a servant of God, a hard-working and devoted wife, as a loving mother/grandmother, and a dearest sister to siblings Lirio Escano Jr. and Harold Escano Sebastian. She was a blessing to us all, and we loved her dearly.
