

With deep love, we celebrate the life of Elias Galicia, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 97. He lived a long and meaningful life grounded in family, resilience, and quiet strength.
Born in Tonaya, Jalisco, Elias later migrated to San Ysidro and Tijuana, where he built a life through hard work and devotion to his family. He shared 77 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Magdalena, creating a strong and loving foundation for their family.
He was a proud father to Enrique, Yolanda, Rosario, Magdalena, and Juan, and a loving grandfather to Melinda, Mitchell, Claudia, Cesar, Francisco, Monica, Alexandro, Christina, Walter, Lisa, and Juan. He was also blessed with 19 great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Elias enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—fishing, swimming in the ocean, horse racing, and baseball, especially cheering for the San Diego Padres. He also loved seafood. He is survived by his brother, Joaquin Galicia.
Elias will be remembered for his love, strength, and dedication to his family. His legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
