Emilia Camit Genido

Our beloved Emilia, also known as "Lola Miling" was born on April 4, 1929 to Salvador Camit and Primitiva Barco Camit. She was the eldest child with nine siblings: Recto Camit (resting in peace), Loleng Camit Reyes, Lucy Camit Minaldo, Carding Camit , Puring Camit Tabing, Carlito Camit (resting in peace), Lydia Camit Bautista, Herminia Camit Tined, and Carmen Camit Camaclang.

At the age of 16 she married the love of her life, Lolo Pio Genido and they were blessed with five daughters; Luzviminda, Maria Sonita, Priscila, Estrelita, and Victoria.

Tragically, on October 18, 1962 Pio's life was taken at the young age of 33. Lola persevered through her lifetime and continued to honor her beloved husband

by remaining faithful and devoted her life to raising their five daughters. She endured life's struggles, providing guidance, their needs and giving them an education. Ultimately, all five daughters married and blessed her with 10 loving grandchildren.

On October 26, 1991 the family suffered another tragic loss of the youngest daughter, Victoria. She was called home to our heavenly father to relieve her from the pain of her hearts ailments. She left behind her only son, John Paul, whom Lola Miling raised after the sudden loss of his mother.

Our families were blessed with Lola's love, care and cooking. As each of her daughter's families continued to grow and migrate worldwide, from Imus Cavite, Philippines, Honolulu, Hawaii, London, England, Long Beach, California, and San Diego, California. Emilia traveled, she shined with confidence, her presence radiated happiness in each of her daughter's homes. She left each grandchild with a legacy of love and fond memories created during their childhood.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910 on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, California 91902.
