O'rale, Jesse!
I remember him well from high school, as we attended University HS. I came from Our Lady of Grace parish in Fletcher Hills, northeast of La Mesa, Ca. Jesse came from a much rougher area of San Diego, & his mannerisms demonstrated this. He seemed like a reserved, quiet, stoic, mature man, even as a freshman at Uni HS. We were lab partners in 10 grade Biology class I remember, our sophomore years, & neither one of us were were dudes which science came easy to. But we survived.
As we became upperclassmen at Uni, we kind of went our separate ways only because, by chance, we weren't in each other's classes, & we began hanging out with different friends. I played baseball, so I hung out with ballplayers & jocks. But Jesse & I were always friendly, welcoming & cordial with each other as we moved through the years towards graduation. I respected him. He respected me. And we respected the early friendship we had as scared freshmen in 1966 coming into an unfamiliar high school.
I never saw Jesse again after high school & our graduation in 1970, but I was able to keep up with news about him from a mutual friend Jesse & I had. A friend who Jesse introduced me to, & who I remained friends with in college & in our adult years, as we both married & had families. That mutual friend was Larry LaToure. It is very fitting that Larry notified me of Jesse's passing this evening, Feb. 6, 2025, a day after our mutual friend passed away.
Those were very good years in the '60s, in high school, not having to see the world too seriously. Part of those memories was meeting Jesse in those early years, becoming friends, & sharing the experience of high school together. He was a good friend to have, & I hope I was as comforting to him as he was to me as freshman in high school back in 1966!
To Jesse's family & extended family, you have my greatest sympathy, & all the best to you!

Queridos primos Jesse, Tanya y Raquel y todos mis sobrinos , nietos de tío José de Jesús y toda la familia Trujillo, mi más sentido pésame por su gran pérdida que Dios tenga en su gloria a mi tío y en paz descanse. 
Ustedes y toda la familia Trujillo están en mis oraciones , tío Jesús era muy querido en la familia Corona. Por mis abuelos y tíos Yo como la mayor de la  3ra Generación de familia Corona recuerdo las reuniones de la familia en Ensenada y nuestras visitas a Chula Vista a la casa de tío José de Jesús y tía Raquel y mis 3 primitos, siempre eran reunion bonitas llenas de alegría, comida, bebidas, largas pláticas y mucho cariño con las risas de todos los tíos y  primos que asistíamos , que éramos muchos. Muchas anécdotas bonitas para recordar.  Deseo que  Que los bonitos recuerdos de una vida plena nos mantenga unidos y tío Jesús descanse en Paz . Bendiciones  departe de

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Jesse was my cousin. Last I saw him was sometime in the early 1980’s when he let me stay at his house while I briefly worked in California. He treated me with kindness and showed concern for my welfare. Yet, even as children when he and his family would visit my Tio Chepe in Az, he showed the same kindness and consideration he was known for as an adult.  My condolences,
