Jesus Sanchez

May 15, 1937 - November 22, 2018 (Age 81)

Jesus passed away peacefully November 22nd. He was the beloved husband of Elisa (Perez) Sanchez of 58 years. He is survived by 4 children: Ernesto and daughter-in -law Lupe Sanchez (Lugo), Eduardo Sanchez and Brett Bell, Martha Elisa and son-in law Miguel Angel Villa, and Ricardo Sanchez. Cherished grandfather of Fernando Ernesto and Clariza Yvette Sanchez Lugo, Miguel Angel, Maritza Alysse and Jesus Eduardo Alejandro Villa Sanchez, and Miranda Elizabeth Frank. Loving great-grandfather of Giovanna Noelle and Gabrielle Noemi Sanchez Mendoza, Paulo Eduardo, Kareli Elena and Leandro Ilean Jaimes Sanchez. Survived by his brothers Rafael and Gilberto Sanchez and sister Hortencia Pena.

Mr. Sanchez, a man of many words and a lively soul was born in Madera, CA and raised in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. He met his teenage sweetheart and everlasting partner in Tijuana B.C. Mexico where they married. They later moved to San Diego, CA where they raised their children. Mr. Sanchez worked in the food industry and was a restaurateur for 47 years. In his retirement during times of leisure he enjoyed watching soccer matches, especially those of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as writing poetry. He also maintained an active lifestyle by gardening and decorating his home, for all the holidays throughout the year at Eastlake Greens for his family, neighbors and community to enjoy.

His hobbies included gardening, writing poetry; but what brought him most joy and happiness was decorating his home at Eastlake Greens throughout the year for the holidays which brought smiles and was cherished by family, friends and the community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake and visitation on Thursday, November 29th between 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA. Mass will be held on Friday, November 30th at 10:00 am at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave, Chula Vista, CA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Diego Food Bank.
