Joanne (Dahl) Nelson

Joanne graduated from St. Louis Park High School and received a College Secretarial Degree from Minnesota School of Business.

She married Hal E. Nelson on August 13, 1960 and was married for 13 years.

Joanne worked in loan processing for HomeFed Bank and Chase Bank for many years and made lifelong friends at these jobs.

She was a member of the Grossmont Center Mall Walkers and had a passion for traveling, walking, reading, sewing calendars and shopping with friends.

Joanne has chosen to be cremated. Her ashes will be spread at sea off the San Diego Coast, with her parents.

She is survived by daughters Roberta Nelson, Susan Griego and son-in-law Jim Griego; granddaughters Alexia Hamon, Dezirae Hamon and great granddaughter Savanna Hamon; and her sister Marilyn Ertel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm, April 19, 2023 at Evangelical Bible Church, located at 8742 Lemon Ave, La Mesa, CA 91941.
