Obituary of John Raphael Pullen
Born on August 7, 1928 in Oakland, California Died on April 4, 2020 in San Diego, California Licensed Psychologist, Director of the Anxiety Treatment Program CHAANGE©, World War II Veteran, Member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church run by the Jesuit Fathers, Member of the Chula Vista Rotary Club, Fisherman, Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores, his son, Charles, his daughter, Marisa, and his four grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Jeremy, and Karenna John was an honest, loving and loyal man who was loved and well-respected by the Church and Chula Vista Rotary Club community. As a licensed psychologist and trainer, he touched the lives of thousands of peoples across the world through his gentle approach to mental health. He served in the Marines at the end of World War Two. He earned a Ph.D in Psychology. He traveled across the world, training professionals in the field. After a long life of accomplishments and self-determination, he departed from this world on the 4th of April, 2020 and he will be missed, loved and cherished by all who knew him, especially his family. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there will be no services until further notice. His ashes are to be interned at the Miramar National Cemetery. We thank all of you who have sent us letters and expressed your condolences.
