12/22/22 There is not a day that I don't think about you and it hurts just the same way it did when you grew your angel wings. There have been a few goals and achievements that I have reached and my first reaction is to call you but soon after I remember that you are not here to talk to you. 

Mom, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and I miss you so much. There is a piece of my heart that will never be replaced and will never be complete without you. I miss your smile your jokes your laughter your words filled with wisdom and especially of love. How I miss you so much you were our pillar the one that we could always count on and would never let us down. Without you our family has been broken apart and you know that in my thoughts my prayers and in my heart you are always there and my brother and my sister are too.  I know that in time I hope you mend our broken hearts and that you make us humble like you taught us to be so that my brother and sister and I can be together again. Even though I am close to my aunts and uncles and my grandma your mommy it is not the same not having my brother and sister. I please ask that you guide us and in memory of your love you bring us together again. May God rest your beautiful soul and give you eternal life until then Mamacita I'll see you.

“UN ÁNGEL A REGRESADO AL PARAÍSO”,  Bendito Dios por a verme dado la Bendicion de conocer a “Maggy”, ella a dejado en mi recuerdos de Amor, Alegría , Fortaleza y Fe....Hoy ese Angel que aquí en el mundo conocí como  “Maggy” a regresado al paraíso y estará gozando de la vida eterna....Ella no se ha ido está y vivirá por siempre en cada uno de sus hijos, y en cada una de las personas que recuerdan su Amor y Alegre Sonrisa...

Recuerdo esa noche que le dimos rienda suelta  con Margarita Arista , Francisca Gutierrez ,  y  Lorena Cardenas. disfrutando de  ese grupo  musical  novedades  mi suegra  alboroto a todo el teatro , chiflando,   cantando y de  repente contagio a mi madre  con su felizidad que la caracterisaba.     fuimos por unos tragos y se puso peor la cosa . mi madre y mi suegra  gritandole a los mariachis   ''dejenmelo solo'',  ''yo te quito la ropa'',  pense que nos iban a sacar del teatro  pero barias mujeres  comenzaron  a gritar igual  que ellas  .  esa  fue una noche muy espesial porque  no paramos de reir toda la noche  i por eso suegra nunca  la vamos a holbidar por su sonrisa i la felizidad que nos daba todo el tiempo. descanse en paz siempre vivira en nuestros corazones.


I remember it was a rainy day and we were both bored so she took me to her favorite consignment shops off pacific highway  and then her favorite ice cream shop in Imperial Beach. I learned so much about her that day, every hardship, accomplishment and goal. She inspired me so much and is the ultimate definition of a strong women with no excuses ❤️ I will miss our long talks and laughs, her heartwarming texts, and funny messages that always put me in a great mood. I am so thankful to have had her be a part of my life.

Tia you left us soon but will never be forgotten. I will miss talking to you when I was driving  home from work. I would see you  on the freeway  on we would be talking while going  home .You always told me to be kind and strong and you where so proud of me of the man I have become ,hard working and a good father and partner . You always told me keep working hard  nothing is easy but just keep trying as hard  as you can  . You always treated  me as a son .I miss you so much. I remember the fun and good times I have always enjoyed with you and your family. So bright, so full of laughter, and love. I'm sorry this happened to you. I cried for you when I found out and I was scared for you and Ruby and your family. I was hopefully even when you told me it was far along. I couldn't wrap my mind or heart around what was happening. I still don't full want to accept it. When I think about going to your house and not find you I can't bear it. That home you made for your children and opened to anyone. You made the most beautiful life for you and your kids and anyone who came around. You will always be missed. Thank you for sharing your home with me. Dear Granma,

           It's tu Morenita, thank you for everything you taught me. The days on this Earth different and hard without you, but I know that you are happy with God in Heaven. And I also know that one day we will all be with you. I know that you don't like seeing us sad, but I miss talking to you everyday, hugging you, & laughing with you. I miss you granma. I love you so much. It's really hard right now, but I'm being strong for mom & dad. I'm glad that you are no longer suffering in this life, but I wish you didn't have to leave us so abruptly. I pray that you're watching over us, and please take care of Tia Ruby, Uncle Charlie, and my mom, they need you right now. Please let them feel your presence, and let this incident unite us. I remember when I was 6 you showed me a saying that is on the wall of the school next to your house that said "A man is not truly gone until he forgotten", & I want you to know that you will NEVER be forgotten. I love you so much granma, thank you, and may you rest in peace.

Dear Maggie,
I prayed for a miracle from the moment I heard you were battling cancer until the morning I received the heartbreaking news your battle was over.
Although my prayers were not answered in the way I had hoped, I realize now that there were other miracles that were happening....
Your family came together and showed the strength you always demonstrated and there was the miracle of extra time. You were here on Carlos and Audrey’s wedding day, one final bittersweet Mother’s Day with Lorena, Carlos and Ruby and with your Mom, birthdays and final visits with your loved ones to say “I love you and goodbye “ before you were taken.
I will remember your beautiful smile and the twinkle in your eyes that expressed so much warmth.  I’ll remember how you made me feel like I was part of your family and made me feel welcome at your home and at special family gatherings for birthdays, graduations, baptisms and even holidays.
And your cooking.....Oh, how I’ll remember your cooking! It seems like you were always preparing delicious food (and always with a smile!). What a privilege it was for me to experience the festivity and joy at those celebrations!
You will be missed, but you will be remembered and the memories, though sometimes painful, will be extra special.
For your family, I express my deepest condolences.  I know their hearts are broken and I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m truly blessed to have been part of your life.  Writing this message is bittersweet as it means that your physical body is gone but I find comfort knowing that your essence and  soul are all around us  soaring up in the heavens free from pain. You planted a nurturing seed in me so many years ago and I thank from the bottom of my heart. I can’t help but to think that you had a part of me being who I am today. My Beautiful Sweet Mother & Best Friend, there is not an hour of the day that goes by that I wish I could just pick up the phone & call you. Every day I look at the clock & wait for your calls that I use to receive from you twice a day but my phone no longer rings. All the intimate conversations we use to have & all your words of advice, encouragement, wisdom but overall of love I will forever value and cherish deeply for the rest of my life. I was so blessed to have you to myself for the first 10 years of my life. You gave me so much attention, so much love, you dressed me up like a doll with the clothes you would sew for hours and hours, you would do my ponytails or braid my hair. I remember when you taught me to ride my bike, how to spell my name, when you clapped and gave me a big hug and kiss for taking my first step and so many milestones throughout my entire life. You were a Lioness when it came to protecting me, I was your Lolos, Loren, Mi Vida, Mi Amor. You would always talk to me about God, taught me how to pray & instilled your Catholic faith in me.  All I can do is believe in what you taught me, that things happen for a reason & God always has something better and has a perfect plan that we don't always understand. All I know is that I was so blessed to have you Momma and though my heart hurts so deep I know that you did an amazing job raising us by yourself. You were such a strong Woman but like you told me in spanish "Yo ya termine Mija" Yes momma, you are finished with what God sent you to do on this earth and touched so many lives & hearts you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. I will not say goodbye, I will say until then my Sweet Beautiful Mom, Mi Mamacita, Mi Pechocha. The gates of Heaven opened to receive a Special Beautiful Angel and may your soul rest in peace. My dearest tia,
How do I even start to say thank you. You took my sister and I under your wing even though you already has your own baby girl. You cared for both of us like if we were a part of you. You gave us care, love and affection any time we were with you. You would brush our hair, teach us how to brush our teeth, involve us when you would cook, bathe us, play with us, and just over all the perfect example of a loving mother. Our memories of you have taught me how to be an incredible mom to my own girls. 
As we grew up, we grew apart but kept all the wonderful memories. Thanks to Facebook I was able to reconnect with my beautiful tia and once again see this amazing woman as she was when I was a child. She was funny and loving and always had a smile because she loved life, she loved the people around her. Her friends her mama, her sisters, her brothers, but most of all how she loved her babies ❤️ All of them . Her own children and her grandchildren. You could see it through a screen, and maybe it was because I had had the opportunity to experience this love that my tia gave me and my sister unconditionally. She was a very special woman. Her heart was like no other. When I got to see her for her 60th Birthday party, the hug she gave me and her beautiful loving smile brought me back to when I was a kid. Thank you tia, for instilling such incredible motherly lessons that I will cherish for ever and share with my own family. Thank you for taking care of us when we needed it, thank you for accepting us as one of your own, and most of all thank you for our amazing cousins that you raised on your own. What a prime example of what a strong independent woman you were. I know you are so proud of each and every one of them as we all are. They will carry your legacy and what a legacy that is ❤️

My queen ❤️ How do I even begin t express my emotions as your only son. First I want to start off by saying that nothing will ever be the same without you. That is the part that I still have a very difficult time grasping. Every day it gets a little easier but the pain is still there. I want you to know that you alone had the drive and will power to give us a better life regardless of your obstacles. I watched over the years how you overcame every obstacle without the support of our father. You were both my mother and father. You taught me the meaning of hard work, discipline, compassion and love. You taught me that everything had to have a balance. I remember you always telling me that we were your motivation. I know exactly what you mean now. I wish I could write an entire novel about how amazing you were as a mother to us and how much you impacted other people. Your soul was so special, every time I walked through your door your smile would change my day. I’m sorry I hardly listened to your voicemails but I listened to all of them and I want you to know that I love you so much. Thank you mom for taking care of us all the way until the very end. Many people have said that you raised an amazing son I wish that some of those people could have met you because they are only seeing a fraction of you through me. Thank you mom for making me such a strong human in every aspect in life. Thank you for loving me so selflessly and unconditionally. It’s been years since the last time I’ve seen you. But you hold a very special place in my heart. Lorena being my friend since middle school then we became  best friend in high school. Margarita welcomed me into her home. We became comadres as I am Lorenas First communion Godmother. I will always remember your beautiful smile comadre. Im so sorry I didn’t go see you, I just couldn’t. I want to remember you as a very happy loving caring person.  May you Rest In Peace. 

My Beautiful Mother-in-law,
I know you're in heaven watching over us...regardless of you not physically being here, it honestly does feel like you're still here thru all of the love you poured into us...I know that during this time you would not want us to be sad...that is exactly what we're going to do...we will live life just like you would...we will smile and laugh despite if the world around us seems to be chaos...we will continue to make memories because what do we have after one passes...all of the wonderful memories that were shared...and lastly, we will continue to love one another without boundaries because there is the power of love...and with that love, families remain powerful. I will miss all of our cooking lessons...all of the laughs we shared whether that be at 4:30 in the morning before we both left for work or at 11:00 at night when I would come home from teaching and you would strategically come up with a way to try and scare me...all the times we would drink a few beers to relieve some stress from work and watch Family Feud...and lastly, I will miss your radiating smile...until we see each other again, take care mom...I will always take care of my little "pajarita" Ruby...I love you!

My dear mother, oh how I miss you so. I miss waking up to the smell of your breakfast, the warmth of your hugs and mostly I miss the sound of your voice. Everything I have accomplished and everything that defines me, is because of you mom. You've taught me many lessons in life but the greatest lesson of all was LOVE. You loved us unconditionally, even when life got tough you always found a way. You always put yourself last and sacrificed so much just to give us a better life. Mom you did all this by yourself, there was not one day that I saw you break or give up. So many memories tattooed in my heart, so many lessons learned. Mom I promise to continue your legacy, I will climb mountains for my little Iris, I will cherish and love my husband, I will work hard for my family as you have done the ultimate sacrifice for us.
