Margarita P. Valdivia

Margarita P. Valdivia, age 86, of Chula Vista, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 5:13 p.m., surrounded by her loving family. She was a woman of extraordinary grace and selflessness, who spent a lifetime putting others before herself.

Born in Los Copales, Jalisco, Mexico, Margarita carried the strength and traditions of her roots throughout her life. She made her home in Chula Vista with her husband Eliodoro, where she devoted herself completely to her family.

Margarita was a woman of grace, strength, and selflessness. She placed her family at the center of everything she did and gave her love freely and generously. She was also known for her wonderful cooking, which brought her family together time and time again. Her love was boundless, her spirit strong, and her legacy lives on in the generations she raised and inspired. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She is survived by her beloved daughters:

She is also lovingly remembered by five sons-in-law, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren — a beautiful and lasting legacy of family.

Margarita has reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Eliodoro Valdivia; her daughter Bertha Aviles, her parents, Isidro Ponce and Aurora Curiel; and her siblings, Maura, Ema, Nicho, Rodolfo, and Guerro Ponce Curiel.
