Norman Eugene Drew

He met and fell in love with his future wife, Leonora F. Hockmeyer in July 1961 and they were married on August 1, 1961. They had two beautiful children: Francine A. and Kenneth S.

Norman started seeing Aurea G. Sugiyama, a longtime family friend. They were married in July 1999 until her passing in December 2014.

Professional achievements:

Naval career spanning 26 years. He retired from the Navy in 1977 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He then went on to his next career at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and was a Quality Control Inspector. This career spanned 19 years.

He attended night school at National University for three years and obtained a BA in Personnel Management (Cum Laude) and a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Behavior.

He was also very involved with Toastmasters.

A funeral mass for Norman will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Church, 1245 Fourth Ave, Chula Vista, California 91911. Following the funeral mass will be an inurnment committal service/ military honors at 11:30 AM at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, 1800 Cabrillo Memorial Drive, San Diego, California 92113.

Norman will be laid to rest in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
