Walter R. Peterson, of, Chula Vista, California, passed away March 13, 2014. He was born in Kelliher, Minnesota on July 29, 1917. He was married to Helen M. Peterson in 1944 (died 1990). Married Mary Peterson June 1991. Served our country for 30 years in the U.S. Navy April 1937-April 1967 retired ADCM (Aviation Mechanic Master Chief). He was a member of Fleet Rerserve in Chula Vista, California and had a passion for laughter, sea stories and dancing. He was survived by Dennis Peterson (Son) and his wife Lauren retired in La Quinta, California. Brent Peterson (Grandson) and wife Sheena Peterson (Spring Valley) and Mary's Children Dolores Mestas, Brenda Anzlane and Frank Mestas. Dad is survivor of 6 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral arrangemens will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey March 19, 2014 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and full military services at Glen Abbey March 20, 2014 at 10:00am.
