After returning to Citrus Heights, Debbie was an avid classroom volunteer and eventually the attendance clerk at Skycrest Elementary School in the San Juan Unified School District. In 1987, she became a medical receptionist for Doctor Bruce J. Cohn for 23 years, then for Doctor Howard J. Homler until her retirement last year.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Hunter (1925-1968), her mother, Julia Annette Hunter nee Porter (1928-2018), and her brother Robert Kevin Hunter (1964-2009).
