

He was a native of Fayette County, West Virginia,and a resident of Rocklin for over 60 years.
Other than the years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, Jerry worked for the railroads most of his life, as a machinist for the Chesapeake and Ohio in West Virginia, and for the Southern Pacific in Roseville.
Jerry is survived by his children, Clarence "Butte" (Lisa) of New Hampshire, Chris (Janell) of California, and Chandra (Ron) Roman of Oklahoma, his 8 grandchildren Eric, Sarah, Mikel, Katey, Rachel, Debbie, Jonathan and Joy, and 5 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zayden, Malachi, Kaylia, and Erica. He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and other family, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Lawrence and Elvira Jane (Cox), siblings David, Rosemary, Mildred, Tom, and Ted, and grandson David Michael MacRae.
Jerry served as an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scout Troop 29, and as sergeant-of-arms for American Legion Post #620.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 4 P.M. at Crossroads Church in Rocklin. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be made to the Rocklin Historical Society P.O. Box 1 Rocklin, CA 95677 or to the American Legion.
