I was very sorry to learn of JJ's passing. She and I became friends during our years working together in Newark, NJ. We shared many an experience and confidences over the years. I have fond memories of going to craft fairs, grabbing a meal somewhere, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and swimming in her backyard pool. She threw wonderful pool parties and an invitation to it was much-desired by her coworkers. Good food, good music, competitive games in the pool and an all-around good time. My dog often accompanied me to her house and became best buds with her boxer.  JJ was a hard-working agent and one of the best in the division at firearms, even being invited to do some trick shooting for VIPs.  She was recognized for successfully completing New Agent Training at the age of 41 - 4 years older than the maximum age for entry. 

We lost contact when she moved back to California, but I've thought of her often in recent years.

I had the pleasure of working with JJ in Washington during the early 1990s.  She was the consumate professional.  Just as significant was her freindly manner and never ending support of coworkers.  She was a "class act"  who will be greatly missed.
