She is survived by daughter, Mary (and Armando); son, Larry (and Joyce); grandchildren: Samantha, Samuel (and Phally), Matthew (and Corina), and Nathan; and great grandchildren, Carissa and Micah. Mae was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Hing Lee in 1997.
She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and the many soups she was always making for the sick, for family, and for her friends. Mae was always willing and trying to feed everyone around her... including neighbors or anyone who looked too skinny. She had a very generous spirit... giving whatever she had cooked, bought, or received, to share with others.
In lieu of flowers, Mae has requested donations be made to the Chinese Independent Baptist Church at 981 Washington Street, San Francisco, CA 94108.
A small Christian funeral service will held in the Woodlawn Chapel on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:30am to 11:30 with a closed casket. The family asks all attendees to wear masks in consideration of the safety of some vulnerable attendees and to disburse after leaving the chapel and after receiving their red envelope. Out of the same consideration, there will not be the traditional funeral meal following the service.
The burial/interment will be only for the immediate family.
