One childhood memory , from time to time Bob and I would get into mischief.  One afternoon we were playing at his house . Bob came across a box of kitchen matches and all in fun started lighting them and throwing them at me , of course I started running around the yard outside his house with Bob in hot pursuit ( no pun intended ) . I ran across the front yard thru the garage and out to the back yard and around the house , across the front yard and into the garage. This time I stopped and picked up a one gallon can of gasoline that they used for their lawn mower . I unscrewed the cap and said I dare you to throw another match. Well Bob did and the top of the gas can burst into flames , I dropped the can and flames spread all over and the smoke was so thick I couldn't see thru it .I ran outside and I could hear Bob inside the garage trying to stomp out the fire.so i grabbed the garden hose turned on the water , stood outside the back door of the garage and sprayed water into the fire. I couldn't see Bob thru the smoke but i could hear him jumping around trying to extinguish the fire . After a minute or so we were victorious the fire was out and Bob emerged from the garage black from head to toe from the smoke and soaking wet from the garden hose . Whew a close one thank God the garage walls were cinderblocks and not wood also Bob's mom Sarah wasn't home. We managed to get the garage washed down and everything cleaned up . No body but us ever knew what happened . 

Hello , My name is Randall Korfhage . Robert  ( Bob ) and I were very close friends. We grew up on the same street in Denver Colorado , the 2600 block of South York Street . We shared many childhood adventures together . We lost touch for a while after High School but were reunited later on facebook . We would talk occasionally through the year and especially during the Hannukah and Chtistmas season.  This past December I tried to call Bob and my calls wouldn't go thru . So I emailed Bob and got no response . Buy now I started to worry , something has to be wrong so I mailed a card to his address and it was returned to me with the message ( RTS Deceased ) my worst fear. I dont have any way to get a hold of his girl friend Victoria or his brother David . to get any details.  Is there any one who could help me  . I would like to hear from anyone who Robert. Bob and I lived together at Geshe Wangyal’s Retreat House for many years. We shared many experiences during that time of building, learning and working together in our youth with the great Geshe Wangyal. May we meet again at the feet of the Buddha in Dewachen and enjoy in that bliss.

Hello.  I came into the sangha during Covid.  One of the best things about Covid was the enlarged capacity to meet remotely.  I was always so grateful when Robert was there to translate.  And loved hearing them converse in Tibetan.  And how Robert would clarify what Rinpoche was saying so he could do the best possible job.  I was and am saddened by the loss.  Of this amazing person. May your hearts remember many small and large things about him and May those memories comfort you.
