He was born on October 22, 1968 in Colorado City to Ruben and Emilia Arredondo Garza.
Edward was a very caring soul who always put his family and his friends before himself. He loved his children and his grandchildren with all his heart and even treated their friends as if they were his own as well. He was the type of man that you could not take into the grocery store, especially if you were in a hurry because he always found people to talk to. He worked hard all his life to be a great provider, mostly as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time he loved to talk to people, playing and coaching baseball, and being with his family. He will be remembered for being patient and his smile, his laugh, and his sometimes corny jokes will bring a smile to the face of everyone who loved him for years to come.
Edward is survived by his sons Edward T Garza of Snyder, Timothy Garza and wife Jennifer of Loraine, Cameron Garza of Colorado City, and Jordan Edward Garza of Colorado City, by a daughter Alexa Garza and significant other Brandon Lujan of Colorado City, and by stepdaughter Ashley Guerrero of Snyder, by his children's mothers Cynthia Madrid and Yolanda Martinez, and by grandchildren Waylin Garza, Lucas Garza, Emelia Garza, and Liana E. Lujan. He is also survived by his brothers Ruben Garza Jr of Loraine, Rudy Garza and wife Jennifer of Abilene, and Ray Garza of Abilene, and by sisters Mary Vasquez of Colorado City, Vickie Cuellar and husband Joe of Loraine, Becky Ortiz and husband Pascual of Sweetwater, Joanna G. Martinez of Loraine, Peggy Fettkether and husband Matt of Witchita Falls, and Maricela Lomas and husband Eric of Sweetwater, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.
