

Joe Wallace, age 83, of Colorado City, died Monday, November 2, 2015, in a local hospital. His body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the New Life Bible Ministries with Rev. James Williams officiating.
Joe was born March 29, 1932, in Gorman, TX to Robert and Bessie Wright Wallace and had been a resident of Mitchell County since1988. He married Betty Shafer on May 4, 1985 in Odessa, TX. He was a retired Master Sgt in the US Air Force. He worked for an automotive paint supply company in Odessa for 21 years and then the animal control officer for Colorado City for several years.
Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Wallace of Colorado City; two daughters: Gwendolyn and husband, Randy McKinney of Grapevine and Mellissa and husband Terry Hall of Kerrville; a son, Donald and wife, Linda Kite of Sweetwater; ten grandchildren: Justin and wife Brianna McKinney, Christopher McKinney, Danielle Burritt, Gina Watson, Jessica and husband, Robert Morris, Brittany and husband, David Arispe, Heather and husband, Cody Andrews, Hanna kite and fiancé, Ricky Correll, Chris and wife, Andi Hall and Jesse Hall; fourteen great grandchildren: Constance Burritt, Michael Wise, Ivy Morris, Maggie Morris, Braxton Morris, Zachary Arispe, Zalen Arispe, Logan Hall, Jay Jay Hall, Holden Hall, Zachary Hall, Jesse Hall, Grady Hall and Kennedy Andrews; three brothers: Jody Kite of Abilene, W. L. Kite of Brownwood and Gilbert Kite of FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Cheri Dutton and Linda Darlene Shoemaker, five brothers and one sister.
