He was born in Garza County Texas on August 24, 1941 to Clint and Edra Faye Reno Howell.
Jimmy was a hardworking man who enjoyed life to his fullest. He worked most of his life as an insurance salesman, retiring multiple times but always returning to work to have something to do, even working into his 80’s as a census worker. He was a fantastic husband who loved his wife Judy tremendously, He was also a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, always making sure to be there for his family. He kept his mind and body in tip-top shape for his age. In his youth he enjoyed playing many sports and as he got older found enjoyment in bowling, shooting pool, fishing, playing horseshoes, barbecuing and playing board games with his grandkids. He also loved learning about the Bible and Jesus and wanted to tell everyone to join him in heaven. He was always a lot of fun to be around, as his charismatic personality drew everyone to love him. His greatest feat was to have lived a great life while wanting others to live a great life too.
Jimmy is survived by a son Rick Howell of Escalante Utah and by three daughters Julie Ziegelgruber and husband Marvin of Whitehouse, Jada Lucero and companion Andy Smith of Round Rock, and Jennifer Jenkins of Colorado City.
