She was born January 10, 1936 in Colorado City, Texas to Lee and Faye Coon Dorn.
They moved to the country and LeeAnn attended 2 room Dorn School at the age of 6, then went on to Westbrook.
LeeAnn married David Ray Anderson, August 30, 1952 in Colorado City, Texas. David and LeeAnn owned and operated the Cheveron Station in Westbrook. Later in life David went to work in the oil field pumping wells and hauling chemicals with LeeAnn there at his side.
Keeping true to her roots family meant everything to her. She attended many basketball games where she could be seen cheering on her daughter Sandy and her son Randy at the Westbrook Wildcat games. Later she made sure to follow her grandson Mark to stock shows and trap-shoots all around Texas. Once he was grown the spirit began again and she would travel to watch Madison and Aiden play sports and watch Katy Mae do cheerleading.
LeeAnn was an active member of the Dorn Methodist Church where she would go to practice her faith and to raise her family with a good Christian upbringing.
LeeAnn is survived by her daughter Sandra Rae Sheets and husband Dale of Colorado City, by her grandson Mark Rae Sheets and wife Sintia of Lake Colorado City and by her great-grandchildren Katy Mae Sheets, Aiden M Munoz, and Madison J Munoz also of Lake Colorado City. Also surviving is Jody Sams and family of Arkansas, her sister Nel Byrd and husband Leon of Aubrey Texas, by several nieces and nephews, and by her cousin F Raider of Virginia Beach, Virginia. LeeAnn is also remembered with love by July Clyrene Hale of Westbrook.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Ray Anderson and by her son Randall Lee Anderson.
LeeAnn was blessed with wonderful in-laws, Minnie Mae and A.G. Anderson who always took her side.
A funeral service for LeeAnn will be held at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21st at 2pm with pastor Paul Smith officiating, burial will follow in the Dorn Cemetery.
