She was born on November 13, 1931 to Jesse Clyde and Alice Womack Dennis in Snyder Texas.
Helen was a woman who was all about family. She was a great mother and an even better grandmother always making sure to be there for every sports function and working every fund raiser, board, and concession stand that she could in order to be there for family. One of her greatest side passions was being a seamstress, she made many outfits for her family and was sure to make all the twirling outfits for her granddaughters, even when they were at Texas Tech. One of her biggest accomplishments was being a life-long parent. After raising her children she raised 2 of her granddaughters after their mother passed away. In her spare time she enjoyed not only sewing but also cooking. When the holidays came around the family knew they were going to Helens, as she was the hostess with the mostest. She always made the best turkeys and made sure everyone else was fed before she would get her own plate. She was a life-long member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Hobie Bolin and wife Connie of Desdemona, by grandchildren Kari Matlock of Denver, Colorado, Kirby Matlock Hatley and husband Kyler of Lubbock, and Callie Chamberlain and husband Casey of Stephenville, and by great-grandchildren Chayni, Catch, and Kolt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Jesse Vann Bolin Jr, by her daughter Jodi Matlock, and by a grandson Chris Bolin.
