Pearlie Mae Lee

She was born on November 8, 1927 in Leona County Texas to Louis and Ruby Mayes Lenard.

Pearlie was a member Ebenezer Missonary Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico for many years where she praised the Lord and filled her soul. She loved her God and her family with all her heart. She was a good wife and mother but an even better grandmother. The love she shared with her family has woven life long memories that they will cherish forever. Pearlie was the type of woman who never met a stranger as she could make friends easily. In her spare time Pearlie enjoyed fishing, playing BINGO, cooking, and taking care of others and when she was seen out in public she was dressed up nice and had her nails done. Those who loved her will miss her dearly.

Pearlie is survived by her daughters Ruby Patton of Hobbs, N.M., Mary Harris of Midland, and Emma Carter of Dallas, and by grandchildren; Torrel, Lashonda, Toi, Eva, Tony, Michael, Harris Jr., Ebony, Tracy, Karen, Lakesha, , and Robert, as well as by a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Ruby Lenard, by her husband Harry Lee, by sons Ervin Tillis, Kirvin Tillis, Donnie Ray Chattum, and Harris Lee, by a grandson Kirvin Templeton, and by her brothers Jefferson Lenard, J.C. Lenard, and Ennis Lenard.

A funeral for Pearlie will be held on Thursday, January 11th at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City with Rev John Joiner officiating, burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery in Colorado City. Pallbearers will be Robert O’Neal Jr., Harris Lee Jr., Marcus Watson, James Walthall, Curtis Dozier, and Derrick Day.

The family will be present for a visitation at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City on Wednesday, January 10th from 5-7 pm.
