Mr. Richard Ricky Gomez Luera Sr.

Richard Gomez Luera Sr., age 49, went to rest with our Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2012. A mass will be held at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church at 10AM, August 10, 2012. Rosary will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7PM at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church.

Richard was born on May 10, 1963 in Colorado City, TX. He was a resident of Colorado City for most of his life, with a short time spent in Stamford, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Pete C. Luera Sr.; mother, Olivia Gomez Luera; brothers, Alvino, Robert, Ruben, Johnny, and Jesus Luera; sisters, Virginia Delorea and Alvina Luera. He is survived by his children, Richard Jr., Johnathon, Olivia Luz, and Zachariah Luera of Colorado City, Johnny Luera of California; granddaughter, Leona Jayde Luera; sisters, Lydia Garcia, Celia and husband David Aroha of Colorado City, Susan Garcia and husband Robert of Watauga, TX, Sandra Luera of Austin, TX; brothers, Pete Luera Jr. and wife Janie of Colorado City, Rudy and Ernest Luera of Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard enjoyed sports and doing hands on work. He will be missed by his family and friends; may he rest in peace.
